When we set out to write The Truth About Being Single, we had in mind a very specific audience and a very specific message. We wanted to address the unkind, negative, thoughtless messages directed to single women, and acknowledge the fact that wanting a mate is perfectly normal. We also wanted to encourage our readers to go about finding their Mr. Right, which ostensibly requires them to get to know themselves first. We further encouraged our readers to broaden their horizons; set personal standards for themselves, and to be happy while single BEFORE they enter a marriage or relationship.
In short, we wanted to give voice to the complex issues facing single women while simultaneously introducing them to simple tools and techniques designed to help them experience greater self-awareness and higher self-esteem.
We were thrilled to discover that women in all situations – single, married, divorced or in relationships and ranging in age from 16 to 60 plus – all found information in our book that was enlightening and relevant.
